A Brief History of this Site

Over the years I have received many e-mails and questions about how this site came about and how I made it.  So I decided to write this little section of the site to try and explain it.

First, I began the site as a small branch of a Disney fan site when I was in High School.  I believe I was a freshman when I made that site.  It was a small site and I was just learning how you go about making websites and graphics.  Then one day I decided to go ahead and focus my energies on my favorite character rather than trying to cover everything Disney.  I was inspired by a website that was online at the time called GoldenPixieDust.com  This website has now closed, but it was such a great site with a lot of wonderful information and the webmaster there was so nice to me and answered all of my e-mail even though I'm sure some of it was really dumb, lol

So once I decided to stick with the site I had to decide on a name.  Tinker Bell's Nook just seemed to fit, as we all know a Nook is a small space where you store things or have a small room with a special purpose.  So I thought why not, Tinker Bell's Nook, since I think the site houses important information all about our favorite small little pixie.  So it stuck.  I began the site several years before I bought the Tinksnook.com domain.  I believe I purchased the domain name in 2000 thanks to my father who let me use his credit card, lol  So it began.

I found a host and started learning more and more about web design.  I taught myself through various websites, but mostly through the site HTMLgoodies.com.  I coded all of the pages, spent hours searching for good images of Tink and scanning in some of my own and scouring the web for information and fun things people might like to know.

Over the years the site has just continued to grow.  I know have many games that visitors seem to enjoy the most.  I've found that the most popular portions of the site are the games and the image galleries.  I'm planning to expand the site even more and start creating graphics for myspace users and also perhaps incredmail letters.

This website is really my biggest hobby, I spend a lot of time working on it when I can and when I'm not working on this site then I am working as a freelance web designer.  Which all came about because I made this site while I was in high school.  If I hadn't made the site I wouldn't know anything about web design.  So I love this site, and I love reading all of your e-mail, and I love Tink and am so glad she is becoming even more popular with the start of the Disney Fairies Franchise.  I cannot wait to see what is in store for her.  Thank you to all of the return visitors to the site, I'm glad you like it and I hope you will keep coming back ^_^
